Nicole Gafner
Following her career as a professional dancer and teacher of jazzdance and modern dance, Nicole was trained as a yoga instructor by Lance Schuler (Vinyasa Yoga) and Glenn Ceresoli (Iyengar Yoga) at INSPYA Yoga (approved by YA Yoga Alliance). From 2007 - 2011 she has studied the classical Hatha Yoga techniques with Doris Doris Echlin at the 'Akademie für Hatha Yoga' in Luzern and Germany. Being a co-founder of Leela Yoga, she continuously educates herself at various international workshops, with teachers like Shiva Rea, Brian Kest, Chris Barrington and Rod Stryker.
Nicole’s wish for profound knowledge of the moving human body led her to an education in spiraldynamik, which is based on the structure of our bodies and offers a learnable concept of the anatomically intelligent movement. She incorporates these principles in her yoga classes and teaches how yoga combined with spiraldynamik allows inner balance and centering of the body.
Her background as a dancer is nonetheless important in her courses. Classes follow a regular flow, each movement harmonically leading to the next and always taking care of adequate respiration. She further emphasises the precise execution of the asanas, which she instructs and adjusts under the aspect of spiraldynamik.
Nicole teaches her classes drawing from her knowledge of the different yoga techniques and traditions, dance and spiraldynamik and from her experiences in life. Her optimistic character encourages her students to plunge into the fascinating world of yoga, to indulge in the complete unity of body and soul and to find the way to the lightness of being.
